Our project’s mission was about to explore our site, 59th st and central park as an boundary of the city. For exploring the site we found very interesting point of understanding of central park and 59th st from our teammate, who came from China and never been in NYC. While we are interviewing many different type of people, we would be able to understand why Yicheng, our teammate has unique perception our site, which he defined within different lens. So, his understanding of this site became a new subject for us to examine and research in order to define the perceptual boundary in our site based on your nationality and background. There are three elements that we wanted to discuss: infrastructure, public space, and people. In the view of Yicheng, it gives us a moment think about what kind of perceptional thought we have toward this site as well as we want to sarcastically talk about the subjective lens of society in U.S.
